Coverage: Existing RxA3 and RxA3m observations

This page gives information about one of the coverage maps which is used by the Clash Tool to check for matches with your target coordinates.

Description of Coverage Map

This coverage map is based on the approximate bounding box of all public RxA3 and RxA3m observations at any frequency with ACSIS.

If you find a match with one of your proposal targets, please search the JCMT Science Archive to see whether the existing data would be sufficient for your project. If the existing data are not sufficient, please add a note to your proposal to indicate why (e.g. different frequency, the exact source position isn’t covered, or the noise level is too high).

Area covered 38.3 square degrees
This is the area of the sky included in this coverage map.

If you would like to inspect the coverage map in detail, you can download it as a MOC (Multi-Order Coverage) file in FITS format. This can be viewed with tools such as Aladin.
